A Win for Houghton ladies
 
Houghton le Spring Golf Club played host the Durham County Lady Captains’ Society’s Autumn Team meeting (Greensomes Strokeplay) on Monday 19 August.
 
The best gross prize was scooped by Michelle Hogg and Ann Young, well done ladies a fantastic knock.
 
Also good luck to Julie Elliott and Emma Nattrass who will be playing in the Women’s England Golf Trust National Pairs Championship Final at King’s Norton on Tuesday 20 August.
 
 
 
A hole in one and more County success for Houghton ladies
 
Durham County Veteran Ladies Golf Association held their Sivewright Open Fours (4BBB) at Tyneside today. Christine Bell and Jackie Elliott scored 41 points which gave them second place. The pair from Ravensworth, Lynne Stearman and Ruth Lowery won with an impressive 44 points. Full results can be found on durhamladyveteransgolf.org.uk
 
Christine also very impressively knocked in a hole in one on the ninth hole at Tyneside! Well done!

More Success for HLSGC Ladies
 
Sheila Munroe and Jackie Elliott have qualified for the North Regional Final of England Golf Australian Spoons Competition which is a quite achievement as only the top 64 scores in the North qualify.
 
The ladies section held their England Golf Australian Spoons qualifying round on Saturday 11 May where they scored 33 points which has given them a place in the North Regional Final to be held at Chester le Street Golf Club on Monday 5 August.
 
A great achievement for Sheila and Jackie, a proud moment for Houghton-Le-Spring Golf Club.

Lisa Musgrove and Mags Shaw have qualified North Regional Final of the R&A Coronation Foursomes Competition which is a great news as only the top 100 scores in the North qualify.
 
The ladies section held their  R&A Coronation Foursomes qualifying round on Saturday 25 May where they scored 37 points which has given them a place in the North Regional Final to be held at Durham City Golf Club on Monday 5 August.
 
A great  accomplishment for Lisa and Mags and another proud moment for Houghton-Le-Spring Golf Club.

More success for HLSGC Ladies!
 
Emma Nattras and Julie Elliott have qualified for the 2019 England Golf Trust Stableford Pairs National Final which is a remarkable achievement as only the top 30 scores in the County would qualify.
 
The ladies section held their England Golf Trust qualifying round on Sunday 19 May where Emma had the best Bronze score of 41 with Julie having the best Silver score of 40. Their combined total of 81 has given them a place in the National Championship Final 2019 to be held at King’s Norton Golf Club on Tuesday 20 August.
 
A wonderful achievement for Emma and Julie, a proud moment for Houghton-Le-Spring Golf Club.

Houghton Ladies Shine at Durham County Vine Trophy
 
55 teams played in the Durham County Ladies Golf Association Vine Trophy on Monday 3 June at Durham City GC.
 
Two of Houghton’s teams where placed 4th and 5th on the same points. The team of Pauline Baxter, Valda Grant and Yvonne Setchell secured fourth place with 79 points piping the team of Michelle, Hogg, Vanessa Taylor and Julie Elliott into 5th place on the back 9.
 
The day’s winners were from Hobson with 84 points with Durham second on 81 and Woodham in third with 80 points.

DCLGA SPRING MEETING 24/04/19 HLSGC hosted the Durham County Ladies Golf Association Spring Meeting yesterday.  HLSGC members featured heavily on the leaderboard with 7 members placed in the top 20 (NETT).
