Latest Update for Members 1.7.20
In our last update posted on the 1st July 2020 the club announced its intention to re-open the clubhouse bar, after government restrictions were lifted, from Sunday 5th July 2020. This we did and the club would like to thank all the many members, guests and visitors who frequented the bar to this point and respectfully adhered to our DRINK SAFE rules and procedures. Thanks also to Judith Atkinson, Rio Jones, and Katie Ellison for all their hard work in ensuring all our members and customers continue to feel safe in using our bar facilities.
The committee introduced a two-system policy initially. System 1 covering Saturday and Sunday opening only and System 2 covering weekdays only. On review the committee have agreed to relax the System 2 policy to now extend access to the bar to any non-golf playing members and their guests also. Please see amended policy below. Also revised bar opening times have been agreed which will be posted separately to this update.
System 1 (Saturday and Sunday)
As Saturdays and Sundays have been traditionally our busiest days, and because of the limited bar capacity, bar access time will be linked to each playing group dependent on their pre-booked tee time. Each group will be limited to up-to 70 minutes bar time. The committee does understand however that there will need to be some flexibility in this approach and to its timings due to differing factors which may affect the pace of play.
System 2 (Tuesday to Friday)
During the week bar time will be accessible to all golfers with a pre-booked tee time and members and their guests not playing golf, on a first come first served basis, with no limited stay and subject to a table being free.
The committee will continue to review its policies and procedures in all aspects of its ‘Covid 19 safe’ rules and continue to up-date members of any changes.
