County Success for Houghton-le-Spring Ladies
The Durham County Ladies Golf Association held their Bronze Championship (Greener Cup) at South Shields on Thursday 8 October.
HLSGC were represented by Pauline Baxter and Valda Grant who both had a very good day. Valda came a creditable 7th place with 32 points.
Our Lady Captain Pauline scored 34 points and won the Lillian Bennett Cup for the best gross score (she was heard to remark that daughter Emily would never believe that her mother had won a gross prize for golf – well Emily, it’s true!).
