2020 CLUB SHOP INTERIM ARRANGEMENTS

Following the agreed early departure of the club professional on the 31st December 2019, the committee have been working hard to implement interim arrangements to ensure that the service interruption for our members and visitors is kept to a minimum.

The committee, during the period we formulate the long-term strategy for our existing shop premises, want to provide the highest level of service as possible for all its existing and new members.

Therefore, the committee are happy to inform members that the club have entered a short-term partnership arrangement with Eureka Golf Ltd which will begin immediately after the new year. This short-term agreement will initially cover the month of January and until the club have made a new appointment and/or agreed a new service model structure.

Eureka Golf will stock the existing shop premises with a variety of golf essentials as well as a selection of clothing. All members and our visitors will be able to purchase their goods directly from the shop during the interim period opening hours. These opening hours will be communicated on the club’s website and around the clubhouse.

Also, members who have nominated to place their competition prize voucher winnings with the club shop will be able to redeem these vouchers, during this period, if they so desire, by purchasing goods either directly from the club shop, or through personal on-line accounts set up on their behalf by the club and Eureka Golf. Members choosing to use this service will also be able to personally track their winnings and purchases made on-line through their individual Eureka Golf account.

To further enhance the member experience using this unique arrangement members can choose to ‘click and collect’ their chosen goods directly from Houghton Golf Club or from Eureka Golf’s own premises.

During this period the shop will be managed and operated by existing club staff, and committee personnel. Please can I ask you to give all our volunteers your support. Of course, if any existing members feel they may-be able to give some of their time to help in anyway please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the new Committee.

I hope these interim arrangements minimise any inconvenience and provide reassurance to members that the club are working hard to maintain service standards during this time of transition.

On behalf of the Committee,

John Walvin
