The inaugaral competition for the Houghton Le Spring G.C. - Sponors Cup, was held on thursday the 13th September 2011.
Nearly all of our Tee & Open Sponsors for 2011 were in attendence and judging by the feed back from them, a great day was held by all.
The competition was run on a 4BBB format , with the team from ALLDEC Ltd coming out on top after a very close contest.
Result : 1st ALLDEC lTD - Dave Allen & John Hogg - 44 pts
2nd THE GREEN DENTAL PRACTICE - Marion Burton & Adam Coleman - 42 pts ( Back Nine)
3rd SCOTT SPOCK PHOTOGRAPHY - Brian Wimot & John Simpson - 42 pts

Just a quick thank you for yesterdays event. It was a great start to what will hopefully become an annual event; and I hope it lifts the bar on your sponsorship income too. Please bear me in mind for sponsorship of an open competition next year.
It is quite easy for participants to undervalue the amount of work and preparation that goes into events like yesterday; and indeed the smoother it goes, the easier it appears to organize. But I know very well that events like this don’t just happen; and I would like to thank you and Vince for all the hard work and long hours you will have put into that; not to mention the unsung helpers at the half way house.
I hope my sentiments are echoed by all of the other sponsors who were present and enjoyed your hospitality.
By the way, congratulations on the web site….one of the best I have seen.
