COURSE REPORT

Just a few lines to give you a update on what is going on around the course over the next couple of weeks.

As you will have noticed work is well underway for the re-modelling of the 9th Greenside Bunker. It has been

re-designed slightly, with new turf laid on the surrounds to the bunker, a type of which is much more resiliant, in

areas such as this, as it is deep rooted.

We have also installed drainage in the bunker during the construction, to allow water to drain from the bunker

and away from the green.

The Green Staff have also been busy contructing a new pathway from the 9th Green to the 10th Tee, this is being

bordered/edged and overlaid with Astro Turf.

We have also started to construct a new Winter Tee Box for the 10th Tee ,which will be a very much larger design

than the previous winter tee box at this area.

You will notice the size of the base materials already in place, this should give you a indication of the size of the

New Tee, which will be in operation for next winter.

It is the intention also, to look at the existing 8th Winter Tee box with view to building something similar to the

new 10th Winter Tee. There are no firm plans or sites as yet for this proposal.

We have also been re constructing the pathways to and around the 1st Tee, with view to reducing the foooding

in this area, which happens when we have an excessively rainy period. We are hoperful that this will assist

the drainage of this problem area.
